From social network apps to communication apps to games, the possibilities with mobile apps are just endless. The latest figures from IDC show that smartphone sales recorded a 34.2% quarter-on-quarter growth and a 294.9% year-on-year growth. The InformateOctober 2010 track by Informate Mobile Intelligence says that the number of users visiting an App store has jumped 108% in October 2010 versus the year ago period.
All these factors have contributed to a large number of Indian developers jumping on to the mobile app making bandwagon. Be it Nokia, iOS, Android or BlackBerry, Indian programmers are excited about the prospects of the sector.
